608 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 17.

The House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Governor
to appoint an additional Justice of the Peace for the ninth
election district, and also an additional Justice of the Peace
for the fifteenth election district in Frederick county.

Which was read the first time aud referred to Messrs.
Steiner, Brattan and Tuck.

Also,

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 827, chap-
ter 473, of the Acts of Assembly passed at January Session,
1870, entitled an Act to add an additional section to Article
IV. of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "City of Balti-
more," sub-title "Police," and to amend and re-enact the
same as amended.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Baltimore city.

Also,

The House bill entitiled an Act supplementary to an Act
passed at January Session, 1870, chapter 168, entitled au
additional supplement to an Act to incorporate the Roman
Catholic Congregation in Baltimore Town, passed November
Session, 1795, chapter 15, to enable the said corporation to
purchase a new burial-ground.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.

Also,

The House bill entitled an Act for the promotion of Agri-
culture, and the Mechanical and Household Arts, in Harford
county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Agriculture.

Also,

The House bill entitled au Act to regulate the trial fees of
the State's Attoney for Harford county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also,

The House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Oakland
Cemetery Company.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.
