590 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 16,

Mr. Fields moved a call of the Senate,
When the following Senators responded :

Messrs. President, Blake, Brewer, Davis, Earle, Fields.
Gctty, Knight, Longwell, Lloyd, McCulloh, Stevens, Stei-
ner, Spencer, Suit, Walsh 16.

The Sergeant-at-Arms was sent to notify absent members
that their presence was required in the Senate Chamber.

On motion by Mr. Davis,
Further proceedings under the call were suspended.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 51 and
52 of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Prince
George's," under head of "Collectors," enacted at January
Session, 1868, chapter 330, and sections 47 and 48 of said
Article XVI., enacted at January Session, 1872, chapter 294,
and re-enact the following as sections 47, 48, 51 and 52 of
said Article XVI. of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled
"Prince George's County," under the head of "Collectors,"
in their stead,

Was read the third time and failed to pass for want of a
constitutional majority by yeas and nays as follows :

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. President, Longwell,

Blake, Lloyd,

Brewer, McCulloh,

Earle, Stevens,

Fields, Spencer,

Getty, Walsh—13.
Knight,

NEGATIVE.

Messrs. Davis, Suit—3.
Steiner,

On motion by Mr. Fields,
The vote by which said bill failed to pass was reconsidered.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to encourage the destruc-
tion of Hawks in Harford and Worcester counties,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:
