Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.
On motion by Mr. Claggett,

The rules were suspended so as to reconsider the vote by
which, the House amendments to the Senate bill entitled an
Act to amend the charter of the city of Cumberland, were
adopted by yeas and nays as follows :

AFFIRMATIVE.

Brewer, Lloyd,
Billingsley, McCulloh,
Brattan, Stevens,
Crawford, Steiner,
Claggett, Spencer,
Denson, Suit,
Earle, Williams,

NEGATIVE—None.
The said vote having been reconsidered.

Mr. Claggett submitted the following message to House of
Delegate :

BY THE SENATE,

March 12th, 1874.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your message requesting the return of
ike Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the
city of Cumberland, and herewith return the same.

By order,

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,

Secretary.

Which, was read, assented to, and sent to the House of Dele-
gates.

The Senate bill entitled au Act to provide for the collec-
tion of taxes upon personal property not included in the
general assessment,

Being on third reading,

Mr. Stevens moved to refer the said bill to the Committee
on Finance.

Which was rejected.

The question recur ing upon the passage of the bill,
