Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to add an additional sub-
section to section 69 of Article XII. of the Code of Public
Local Laws, relating to Harford county, and the town of
Havre de Grace, under the sub-title "Havre de Grace,"

Being on third reading,

(By unanimous consent,)

Mr. Walsh submitted the following amendment:

Strike out all after the word "Commissioner" in the first
line of sub-section 6, and insert "shall have power to lease or
rent for a term of years not exceeding ten years, the bed or
beds of any street or streets, or parts of streets in the unim-
proved portions of said town of Havre de Grace, to the own-
ers of property lying adjacent to the said bed or beds of said
streets; provided, that no lease shall be granted to the bed of
any of said streets, whereby the rights are interfered with, of
any person owning property on any of said streets, nor shall
the bed of any of the said streets be leased by which conve-
nient access with carriages or other vehicles to or from any
cemetary, may be interfered with, unless the authorities of
the Church to which said cemetary belongs, shall first assent
to the leasing of the same, nor shall the bed or beds of any
of said streets leading to any wharf, be leased, unless the
owner or renter of said wharf shall first assent to the leasing
of the same."

''SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from and after the date of its passage."

Which was adopted.
