United States of America, and his successors, to hold a lot or
parcel of land conveyed to him by William Goldsborough

Rohr, late of Frederick county, deceased, to the Evangelical
Lutheran Congregation, at Mount Zion, Frederick county,
Maryland.

Mr. Stevens submitted the following message to the House
of Delegates :

BY THE SENATE,

January 19th, 1874.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable Body,
to proceed to the election of a Treasurer of the State, on
Wednesday next, January 21st, at one o'clock.

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,

Secretary.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of Del-
egates.

On motion by Mr. Earle,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to report
a bill to release the estate and property, real, personal and
mixed, devised; and bequeathed to the Johns Hopkins Hospi-
talj from the payment of the Collateral Inheritance Tax.

Also,

Leave to the Committee on Finance to report a bill to re-
lease the estate and property, real, personal and mixed, de-
vised and bequeathed to the Johns Hopkins University, from
the payment of the Collateral Inheritance Tax.

On motion by Mr. Billingsley,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions to report
a bill entitled "An Act to provide for the payment to Mary
W. Cullumber, of St. Mary's county, arrears of pension lost
by the accidental misspelling of her name in the Act passed
