CHAPTER 377.

AN ACT to repeal an act passed January session,

eighteen hundred and seventy, chapter four hun-

dred and forty -one, entitled an act to amend sec-

tion one, of article thirty-eight, Code of Public Gen-

eral Laws, title, " fees of officers," by repealing and

re-enacting the same as amended, and to re-enact

the same so as to read as follows :

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That the act passed January session, eigh-

teen hundred and seventy, chapter four hundred and

forty-one, entitled an act to amend section one, of

Repealed and

article thirty-eight, Code of Public General Laws,

re-enacted.

title, " fees of officers," by repealing and re-enacting

the same with an amendment, be and the same is

hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as

follows :

1. All accounts for officers' fees shall be made out

in a fair and clear manner, and in words at length,

and whenever any person interested in them, or to

whom the same shall be charged, shall require a copy

of such account, the several officers herein named

shall, in as short a time as may be convenient, give him,

an account of said charges in words at length ; and

no account for officers' fees by any of the several

officers herein named, rendered for services to or in

behalf of any county of this State, shall be allowed.

To be approved

by the County Commissioners thereof until said

account has been submitted to and approved by the

Judges of the Circuit Court of said county, or a

majority thereof, as in accordance with the provi-

sions of this article.

2. This act shall apply only to the counties of Car-

oline, Kent, Talbot, Prince George's, Queen Anne,

from its passage.
