CHAPTER 261.

|
AN ACT to change the place of voting in the seventh
|
 
|
district of Wicomico county.
|
Preamble
|
WHEREAS, by chapter twenty-four of eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-eight, Trappe is continued as the
|
 
|
voting place of the seventh district of Wicomico
|
 
|
county, the same as before the separation of said
|
 
|
county from Somerset; and
|
 
|
WHEREAS, said voting place is on the extreme
|

|
southern border of said district, and remote from
|
 
|
the majority of voters; and
|
 
|
WHEREAS, a majority of the voters of said district
|

|
have petitioned the General Asembly of Maryland
|
 
|
to change the voting place from Trappe to Walnut
|
 
|
tree lot nearly in the centre of said district; there-
|
 
|
fore —
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
Voting place
changed
|
Maryland, That the bounds of the seventh or Trappe
|
 
|
district of Wicomico county shall remain as now
constituted, and that the Walnut tree lot, at the house
|
 
|
of James Simms, shall be the voting place of said
|
 
|
district.
|
 
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts or parts of
|
Repealed
|
acts inconsistent with this act, are hereby repealed.
|
