STATE OF MARYLAND, TO WIT :
In compliance with the requirement of the Constitution,
the Senators, and Senators elect, assembled in the Senate
Chamber this day.
At 12 o'clock Augustus Gassaway, Secretary of the late
Senate, proceeded to call the roll, when the following Sena-
