by, or stored with it, or upon any bill of lading,

storekeeper's or inspector's certificates, order for the

delivery of goods, or other documents showing-

possession, or the rightthereto, or upon any evidence

of debt, stock or negotiable paper, or to purchase

and sell the same, upon such terms as may be law-

fully agreed upon by the citizens of this State, other

than corporations engaged in any similar business ;

and it is also authorized to charge such commissions

and interest, and to make such other charges, as are

usual and customary ; and it is hereby enacted that

all such charges, expenses, advances, and commis-

sions, and interest, shall be a lien on said goods,

the right thereto, or evidences of debt, stock, nego-

perty, as aforesaid, belonging to the party or parties

by, or from whom said charges, expenses, loans, ad-

vances, commissions, and interest, are due or accru-

ing, which may be in the custody or possession of

the Baltimore Warehouse Company, or to which

the said Baltimore Warehouse Company may have

the right of possession; and if the said charges, ex-

penses, advances, loans , commissions, and interest,

or any of them, or part of any of them, shall remain

unpaid, when the same are or is payable, or if there

has been any breach of any of the terms of any

agreement, made in relation to such advances, or

loans, or in relation to any of the particulars, here-

inbefore referred to, the said goods, wares, merchan-

dise, evidences of debt, stock, or other property, in

possession of said Baltimore Warehouse Company,

either in fact, or by virtue of documents, as afore-

said, showing possession, or the right thereto, and

upon which the said charges, expenses, advances,

loans, commissions, and interest, or any part of

them or either of them, may be a lien, as aforesaid,

or so much thereof as may be sufficient to satisfy the

said amount of said charges, advances, expenses,
