Said bill was then returned to the Senate.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following mes-
sage:

BY THE SENATE,

April 6th, 1874.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your message asking the return of a bill
entitled "An Act regulating the compensation of the Sheriff
for Garrett county, and the same is hereby returned."

Which was read. Secretary.

The bill named therein, being the Senate bill entitled an
Act to regulate Sheriff's fees in Garrett county,

Was then passed by yeas and nays, as follows :

The Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money for the use and benefit of the House of Reformation
and Instruction for Colored Children, situated in Prince
George's county, for the erection of an additional family
building and other necessary shops and out-houses,

Which had been rejected for want of a constitutional
majority,

Was passed by yeas and nays, as follows :
