Said bill was then returned to the Senate.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following mes-
sage:

BY THE SENATE,

April 4th, 1874.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We propose, with your concurrence, the appointment of a
Joint Committee, to consist of two members of the Senate
and three members of the House, to wait upon his Excellency
the Governor, and inform him that the General Assembly
purposes to adjourn at 12 o'clock on Monday night, and
enquire of him whether he has any further communication to
make to them.

We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs.
Tuck and Longwell.

Secretary.
Which was read.

Mr. Colton submitted the following message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

April 4th, 1874.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We have received your message proposing the appoint-
ment of a Joint Committee to wait on the Governor to in-
form him that the two Houses propose to adjourn on Monday
night at 12 o'clock, and concur therein.

We name on the part of the House, Messrs. Colton,
Leonard and Davis.
