So the order was rejected.

Mr. Glotfelty presented the memorial of General William
Patton, an eminent lawyer of Pennsylvania, who is the
owtter of lands in Garrett county, praying that the operation
of the Act establishing the county seat of Garrett county at
Oakland, be suspended until the next meeting of the Legis-
lature.

On motion of Mr. Glotfelty, he was permitted to withdraw
said petition from the files of the House.

The Speaker announced, that in accordance with the order
passed, he had appointed Messrs. Stake, Koons, Harig, Seth
and Freaner, as additional members of the Committee on
Engrossed Bills.

Mr. Leonard, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
