1162 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 30,

fusal of any Officer of Registration to register his name, or
by the striking off of his name from the list of qualified
voters, to appeal by petition from such action as provided for
in this Act, shall be deemed and taken to be conclusive evi-
dence that the said person was right-Fully refused registra-
tion, or that the name of such person was rightfully stricken
'from the list of qualified voters of such ward or election dis-
trict.

The following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Make section 15, section 16, and the sections to conform.

Mr. Hart submitted the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 12, strike out all after the word ''Register," in line
20, and insert the following: "which lists shall be published
as provided for in the 9th section of this Act."

Mr. Seth submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Add to section 15, "and the residence herein referred to
shall be construed so as to require that the party shall have
spent a majority of the prescribed time in such ward or dis-
trict."

Mr. Hart submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 16, line 19, after word "district," insert ''or who
may not be residents, or entitled to vote in the ward or
election district in which they are respectively registered."

Section 17, line 2, strike out the word "eighty," after the
word "registration," and insert "shsll have corrected said

lists."
