The Senate bill entitled an Act to regulate the number of
Justices of the Peace and Constables for Garrett county,
Being upon a third reading,
Mr. Glotfelty submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 1. Strike Out all after the word "Constable," in line
7, and insert the following in lieu thereof: "For Election Dis-
trict Number 5, two Justices of the Peace and one Constable;
for Election District Number 6, two Justices of the Peace and
one Constable; for Election District Number 7, two Justices
of the Peace and two Constables; for Election District Num-
ber 8, two Justices of the Peace and one Constable; for Elec-
tion District Number 9, one Justice of the Peace and one
Constable, and that the Govergor be, and ia hereby, au-
thorized and empowered to appoint and commission such
Justices of the Peace."
Which was adopted.
