NIGHT SESSION.
THURSDAY, March 12—8 o'clock, P. M.
The House met.
Present, at the call of the roll, the following members:

Messrs. Hines, (Speaker,) Bond, Colton, Merritt, Henkle,
Robinson, Nutwell, Bird," Turner, of Calvert, Hawkins,
Keeoh, Buchanan, Matthews, Merryman, Turner, of Balt,
co., Seth, Valliant, Sudler, Coulbourn, Duer, Gordy, Hod-
son, Turner,of Cecil, Mackey, Davis, Etchison, Latchford,
Robey, Thompson, Kemp, Pruitt, Merrill, Koons, Miller,
Lamar, Annan, Grafton, Lee, Dawson, Williams, McCosker,
T. H. Hamilton, Cooper, G. R. Hamilton, McWilliams,
Foster, Staylor, Stewart, of Balt. city, McAleese, Gill, Hart,
Lcane, McColgan, Harig, Joyce, Groh, Fenton, Berry, Frea-
ner, Grimes, Stake, Clark, Watkins, Fletchall, Wier, Wack,
Park, Brace, Waters, Vanderford, Galt, Brown, Maclin,
Stewart, of Howard, Leonard, West, Glotfelty—77.

Mr. Freaner, (the rules being suspended,) submitted the
following order:

Ordered, That the House assemble every night during
next week, except Saturday night, at 8 o'clock, and that
such night sessions be devoted to the consideration and pas-
sage of local bills—the delegations of the respective counties
and City of Baltimore to be called in the order in which they
stand on the roll, and they to designate two local bills, to
betaken up, considered and passed.

Which was adopted.

The House then resumed the consideration of the unfinished
business of the morning session,

Being,

The bill entitled an Act to extend the limits of the City
of Baltimore.

Pending which,

Mr, McCosker submitted the following order:

Ordered, That all debate in the Committee of the Whole
House, on the bill entitled an Act to extend the limits of
Baltimore City, by including and annexing apart or portion
of Baltimore county in and to the said city, and to provide
for taking a vote of the people residing in said part or por-
tion to be eo annexed, for or against such annexation, shall
cease, if the Committee shall not sooner come to a conclusion
