Said bill was then read a third time.

On motion of Mr. Turner, of Baltimore county,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and said
bill referred to a Committee of the Whole House.

On motion of Mr. Turner, of Baltimore county,

The House then resolved itself into a Committee of the
Whole, (Mr. Stake in the Chair.)

After some time passed in Committee of the Whole,

Mr. Stake, Chairman of the Committee of the Whole, sub-
mitted the following Report:

The Committee of the Whole, to whom was referred the bill
entitled an Act to extend the limits of Baltimore City, by
including and annexing a part or portion of Baltimore county
in and to the said city, and to provide for taking a vote of
the people residing in said part or portion to be so annexed,
for or against such annexation, have had the same under
consideration, have made some progress thereon, and report
the same back to the House.

Which was read.

Mr. McCosker (the rules being suspended) submitted the
following order :

Ordered, That all debate in the Committee of the Whole
House, on the bill entitled an Act to Extend the Limits
of Baltimore City, shall cease at 9 o'clock, P. M., this
