The House resumed the consideration of the unfinished
business of the morning session, being

The hill entitled an Act to repeal Article 71, of the Code
of Public General Laws, entitled "Oysters," as amended
and re-enacted by chapter 364, of the Acts passed at Jan-
uary session, 1810, and also chapter 167, of the Acts passed
at the January session, 1872.

The question recurring upon the amendment submitted by
Mr. Gill, to amend section 28, by striking out of lines 3 and
4, the words "that the Judges of the different Circuit
Courts for the counties whose waters comprise the different
districts."

The amendment was rejected.

Mr, Clark submitted the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 35, line 2, after the word ''thousand," insert the
words "five hundred."

Which was adopted.

Mr. Stake submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 35, line 4, after the words "per annum," insert
"and one officer at nine hundred dollars per annum, and one
clerk at a salary of one hundred and fifty dollars per month."

The question recurring upon the adoption of the amend-
ment,

Mr. Seth demanded a division of the question.
The demand being sustained,

The question then recurred upon the first proposition,
after the words "per annum," insert "one officer at nine
hundred dollars per annum.

Which was adopted.

The question then recurring upon the second proposition,
"and one clerk at a salary of one hundred and fifty dollars
per month,"

It was rejected.

On motion of Mr. Leonard,

The vote by which, the amendment submitted by Mr.
Clark was adopted,

Was reconsidered.

The question then recurring upon the adoption of the
amendment,
