The bill entitled an Act to alter and amend section 2 of
an Act entitled an Act to authorize the building of a bridge
over the River Patapsco, passed at January session, 1856,

Soid bill was then sent to the Senate.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 4, 12 and 15, of
an Act incorporating the town of Laurel, in Prince George's
county, and re-enact the same with amendments,

Being upon a third reading,

Mr. Latchford, (by unanimous consent,) submitted the fol-
lowing amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

SECTION 3. Strike out all after the words "for at least one
year next preceding the election," and insert the following
in lieu thereof: "and said Commissioners shall each give bond
to said town of Lanrel in the penalty of one thousand dol-
lars, for the faithful discharge of their duties as such Com-
missioners, and suit may be brought thereon in the name of
said town, for any violation of the condition of such bond."
