The bill entitled an Act to repeal the forty-sixth section of
an Act passed at the January session of 1868, chapter 381,
entitled an Act to amend the Public Local Laws of Kent
county, title "Chestertown," by repealing sections 35 and 46,
and to re-enact the same as amended, relating to assessment
and the duty of the Clerk to the County Commissioners, and
to re-enact the same as amended,

Being upon a third reading,

Mr. Keech, (by unanimous consent,) submitted the fol-
lowing amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 1, line 1, after the words "limits of said town,"
add the words "except private securities."

The proposed amendment was adopted, and the bill, as
amended, read a third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
