The proposed amendment was adopted, and the bill, as
amended, was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore to accept conveyance of and to hold cer-
tain property lying on or near Charles Street Avenue, in Bal-
timore county, for a public park,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a.
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to regulate proceedings in certain
cases now pending in the Circuit Court for Allegany county,

Being upon a second reading,
Mr. Brace submitted the following amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Section 1, line 8, after the word "pending," add the fol-
lowing : "And in all other cases in which a warrant of resur-
vey may be necessary or proper."

Section 1, line 9, between the words "the" and "survey
or," insert the words "Sheriff and."

Section 1, line 26, after the words "in which the," and
before the word "defendants," add "plaintiffs, or;" and in
line 29, same amendment, add to section 1, line 36, the follow-
ing: "and in case of such removal the costs accrued previous
thereto shall be in the discretion of the Court."

Section 2, line 2, after the words "pending as aforesaid,"
add the following, "either in the Circuit Court as a Court of
Equity, or in the Orphans' Court of said county."

Section 2, line 5, after the words "injunction," add the
following: "or in any case where the title to land is to be
effected, or any lien thereon to be enforced or established; to
section 4, add the following, "and in all such cases still pend-
ing, and in which shall not be moved as herein provided, and
in which warrants of resurvey have been issued to the Sheriff
and Surveyor of Allegany county, or in which any other pro-
cess has been issued to them or either of them, it shall be their
duty to execute such warrant of resurvey or other process, as
if the same were to be executed in Allegany county, and in all
such cases where a warrant of resurvey or other process shall
be issued under this Act by the Circuit Court for Allegany
county, to the Sheriff and Surveyor of Garrett county, or
either of them, said Circuit Court for Allegany county shall
have the same power over the Sheriff and Surveyor of Garrett
county, to compel execution of such warrant of resurvey or
other process, and to compel obedience to any summons or
