FRIDAY, March 6th, 1874.

The House met and was opened with prayer by the Rev.
Mr. Harper.

Present at the call of the roll, the following members:

Messrs. Hines, (Speaker,) Colton,Merritt,Henkle,Robinson,
Natwell, Bird, Turner,of Calv't, Hawkins, Keech, Matthews,
Merryman, Seth, Valliant, Sudler, Conlbourn, Duer, Gordy,
Hodson, Turner, of Cecil, Mackey, Davis, Etchison, Latchford,
Robey, Thompson, Kemp, Pruitt, Merrill, Koons, Miller, La-
mar, Nicoderaus, Annan, Lee, Riley, Williams, McCosker,
Cooper, McWilliams, Foster, Staylor, Stewart, of Bait, city,
MeAleese, Gill, Loane, Greenfield, Harig, Joyce, Fenton,
Berry, Freaoer, Grimes, Stake, Clark, Walkins, Fletchall,
Wier, Wack, Park, Brace, Waters, Vanderford, Brown, Mac-
lin, Leonard, Bedsworth, Glotfelty—68.

The Speaker laid before the House a communication from
Hon. Isaac D. Jones, in relation to the Maryland and Vir-
ginia Boundary Line.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Also,

A communication from the Adjutant-General, Charles H.
McBlair, conveying an invitation, to the House of Delegates,
from Col. Clarence Peters, commanding the 6th Regiment,
M. N. G., to Review his Command on the College Grounds,
on Monday, the 9th instant, at 11 1/2 o'clock, A. M.

Which was read, and,

On motion of Mr. Stewart, of Baltimore City,
The invitation was accepted.

Mr. Wier presented the petition of twelve hundred and!
forty citizens of Baltimore City, against the passage of the
Local Option Law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Riley presented the petition of Martin Finneran and
four hundred and forty other citizens, against a Local Option
Law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Stewart, of Baltimore City, presented the petition of
four hundred and sixteen law-abiding citizens of Baltimore,
