Which was read and referred to the Committee on Internal
Improvements.

Mr. Blake presented the petition of James Morford, asking
for a Pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pensions.

Mr. Denson presented the following memorial of a special
Joint Committee of the City Council of Baltimore, in rela-
tion to the extension of the limits of that City.

Which was read.

Mr. Stevens moved to refer said memorial to the Senators
from Baltimore city and the Senator from Baltimore county.

Mr. Davis moved as an amendment to Mr. Stevens' motion
to refer said memorial-to the Committee on Library,

Which was determined in the negative.

Mr. Davis moved as an amendment to refer said memorial
to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Denson moved that the said memorial be entered upon
the Journal.

Mr. Denson demanding the yaes and nays

Your memorialists, a Special Joint Committee of the First
and Second Branches of the City Council of Baltimore,
charged with presenting to the General Assembly of the State
of Maryland some cause why the corporate limits of the city
of Baltimore should be extended, beg leave to present the
following facts and considerations:
