The bill entitled an Act to confirm an Act entitled "An
Act to declare the sanction of the General Assemby of
Maryland to the bequests of John Coates, late of Baltimore
City, deceased, to the Trustees of the Methodist Protestant
Church, corner of Lombard and Green streets, in the City
of Baltimore," passed at January session, 1872, chapter 308,
approved April 1st, 1872, and to confirm and declare the
sanction of the General Assembly of Maryland to said bequest
of said John Coates, deceased,

The bill entitled an Act to prohibit the Clerk of the Cir-
cuit Court of Frederick county from issuing license to ven-
ders of spirituous or fermented liquors within two and one-
half miles of Brook Hill Meeting-House, Frederick county,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The House proceeded to the consideration of bills upon a

The bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Wicomico county to borrow money on the credit of
the county, for the purpose of purchasing a site on which
to erect a Court-house and jail, to issue bonds for the pay-
ment of the same, and to levy taxes on the assessable prop-
erty of the county to redeem said bonds, and to pay the in-
terest thereon,
Was read a third time, and passed by yeas and nays, as
