cost of the record in said case, within 60 days after the pas-
sage of such order, and shall cause the said record to be trans-
mitted to the Court to which the same was ordered to be re-
moved, within 60 days, and upon his failure so to do, the
Court passing such order for removal shall have power, on
the application of the opposite party, to strike out such order-
of removal and reinstate the case."

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 1, Article 35, Code
of Public General Laws, entitled "Elections," and re-enact,
the same with amendments.

Mr. Gill, from the Committee on the Judiciary, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to pay and compensate Wm, Frank
Tucker and Andrew K. Syester, for legal services rendered in
the United States Courts, in defence of certain Officers of Reg-
istration &c , indicted and prosecuted therein for an alleged
violation of the Acts of Congress, entitled "An Act to enforce
the rights of citizens of the United States to vote in the sev-
eral States of the Union, and other purposes."

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Gill, from the Committee on the Judiciary, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to confirm an Act entitled "an Act-
to declare the santion of the General Assembly of Maryland
to the bequest of John Coates, late of Baltimore City, deceased,
to the Trustees of the Methodist Protestant Church, corner
of Lombard and Green streets, in the City of Baltimore,"
passed at the January session, 1872, chapter 308, approved
April 1st, 1872, and to confirm and declare the sanction of
the General Assembly of Maryland to said bequest of said;
John Coates, deceased.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Merryman, Chairman of the Committee on Agricul-
ture, reported unfavorably,

A bill entitled an Act to produce uniformity in the sale,
of fruits and vegetables,
