The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day,
The House proceeded to the consideration of the unfin-
ished business of Friday, the 30th ultimo., being the bill enti-
tled an Act to locate the county seat of Garrett county. The
question recurring upon the motion submitted by Mr. Glot-
felty on the 30th inst., that the further consideration thereof
be postponed, and that the bill be re-committed to the Select
Committee reporting the same, and be printed.
Pending which,
Mr. Glotfelty moved to strike out the enacting clause of
said bill.
Decided in the negative.
On motion of Mr. West,
The further consideration thereof was postponed, and said
bill made the order of the day for to-morrow, Tuesday, 10th
instant.
The House next proceeded to the consideration of the sec-
ond order of the day, being the bill entitled an Act to repeal
chapter 287, of the Laws passed at the January session, 1870,
and to repeal sections 810, 811 and 816, of Article 4, of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore City, sub-title
"Police," and to re-enact the following in lieu thereof.
