1140 EXECUTIVE PROCEEDINGS

THURSDAY, April 2, 1874.

The following communications which had been received
from His Excellency, Governor Groome, by the hands of R.
C. Holly day, Esq., Secretary of State, were read :

STATE OF MARYLAND,

EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT,

Annapolis, April 1, 1874.
Gentlemen of the Senate of Maryland:

1 nominate William L. Tracy, as Justice of the Peace for
6th district of Carroll county, vice John A. Brown, declined.
John B. Somers, as Justice of the Peace for 7th district of
said county, number being increased by Act of Assembly,
and Louis Dislman, as Justice of the Peace for 11th district
of said county, the number being also increased as above.

JAMES BLACK GROOME.
On motion by Mr. Longwell,

The Senate advised and consented to the aforegoing ap-
pointments agreeably to the nominations.

STATE OF MARYLAND,

EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT,

Annapolis, March Bl, 1874.
Gentlemen of the Senate of Maryland :

I have the honor to make the following nomination for
Baltimore county:

Justice of the Peace.
5th District—William C. Sparks.
