On motion by Mr. Suit,

The Senate advised and consented to the aforegoing ap-
pointments (except the appointment of Abner T. Hood, as
Justice of the Peace for 6th District, and James J. Jarboe,
as Officer of Registration for 6th District, which was referred
to the Committee on Ex-Nominations,) agreeably to the
nominations.

On motion by Mr. Tuck,

The Senate resumed the consideration of Legislative busi-
ness.

WEDNESDAY, February 25, 1874.

The following communications which had been received
from His Excellency, Governor Whyte, by the hands of
Charles J. Pennington, Esq., Assistant Secretary of State,
