On motion by Mr. Steiner,

The Senate advised and consented to the aforegoing ap-
pointments of Justices of the Peace, Visitors to St. John's
Literary Institute, Visitors to Frederick Female Seminary,
Coroner, Notaries Public and State Armorer.

The nominations for Registration Officers were ordered to
lie over.

On motion by Mr. Fields,

The Senate resumed the consideration of Legislative busi-
ness.

THURSDAY, February 19, 1874.

The following communications which had been received
from His Excellency, Governor Whyte, by the hands of
Charles J. Pennington. Esq., Assistant Secretary of State,
