bond according to law.

Jan. 24. Lenox Perrine, Justice of the Peace, vice John
McElfish, resigned.

May G.—John M. Buchanan, County Commissioner, vice
Singleton S. Townsend, removed from county.

On motion by Mr. McCulloh,

The Senate advised and consented to the aforegoing ap-
pointments agreeably to the nominations.

Annapolis, January 13, 1874.
Gentlemen of the Senate of Maryland:

I herewith transmit to you a list of the Executive appoint-
pointments madje during the recess of the Legislature for
Frederick county.

1872.

April 25.—John Reid, Justice of the Peace 12th dis-
trict, vice Jos. Goodman, declined.

May 14.—William Creager, Justice of the Peace 10th dis-
trict, vice Thomas C. Fox, resigned.

May 20.--William R. Dorsey, Officer of Registration 18th
district, vice himself, failed to qualify.

May 20. Thomas Jones, Justice of the Peace 17th dis-
trict, vice Daniel Root, deceased.

May 27.-- Frederick S. Clary, Justice of the Peace 18th
district, vice Nathan Clary, resigned.

June 8.—John Gale, Justice of the Peace 10th district,
vice himself, failed to qualify.

June 8—George W. Barrich, Officer of Registration 4th
district, vice himself, failed to qualify.
