Mr. Getty presented the following message :

BY THE SENATE,

Gentlemen af the House of Delegates :

We have received your message asking the return of House
bill entitled an Act regulating the compensation of the Sheriff
for Garrett county, and the same is hereby returned.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of Del-
egates.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and deliv-
ered the following :

The House bill entitled au Act to repeal and re-enact chap-
ter 316 of the Acts of 1872, entitled "Appeals," and to re-
enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

Mr. Billingsley moved to reconsider the vote by which the
Senate bill entitled an Act for the relief of the Maryland Ag-
ricultural College, failed to receive a constitutional majority.

Which was adopted by yeas and nays as follows :
