Strike out all after the word "State" in line 58, sub-sec-
tion 20 of section 1.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Stevens submitted the following amendment:

Line 26, section 19, after the word "Shall," strike out
"not be sold for less than par value," and insert "be sold at
their market value,"

Pending the consideration thereof,

Mr. Fields moved to postpone the farther consideration
thereof, until to-morrow at 12 o'clock,

Which was rejected by yeas and nays as follows :

Mr. Walsh moved to reconsider the vote by which the
word "not" was inserted in line 9, sub-section 19,

Mr. Fields moved that the bill under consideration be post-
poned until to-morrow,

Which was adopted.
