1010 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [April 6,

The House bill entitled an Act directing the Attorney
General to cause the State to be made a party in the cause
now pending in the Circuit Court in Baltimore city, entitled
"the Commonwealth of Virginia, vs. the Chesapeake and
Ohio Canal Company,"

Was read the third time and passed with proposed amend-
ments, by yeas and nays as follows :
