CHAPTER 539.

AN ACT to amend Articl I of the Code of Public Local

Laws of the State of Maryland, title "Allegany County,"

sub-title "County Commissioners," by adding thereto a sec-

tion to be designated as Section 37A, authorizing and direct-

ing the County Commissioners of Allegany County to an-

nually levy to the incorporated town in said county the

sum of ten thousand dollars.

SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

towns of said county as follows : The City of Cumberland,

four thousand six hundred dollars; the town of Frostburg,

twelve hundred dollars ; the town of Lonaconing, one thousand

dollars; the town of Westernport, seven hundred and fifty

dollars, and the town of Midland, four hundred and fifty

dollars; the same to be paid to the respective treasurers of

said city and town not later than the first day of December

in each year following said levy, and all to be expended upon

the streets and highways of said city and towns.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect

from the date of its passage.

amended by Chapter 475 of the Acts of 1890.
