AN ACT to refund to Charles T. Bigg, of Washington County,

a sum of money erroneously paid by him into the State
|

Treasury.

WHEREAS, Charles G. Bigg, of Washington County, erro-
|

neously paid to the several collectors of State and county taxes

1901 and 1902 the sum of one hundred and thirty-five dollars

as taxes upon a certain mortgage which under the law was

not subject to taxation, owing to the fact that said mortgage,

executed prior to the year 1896, contained a covenant requiring

any future tax levied thereon to be paid by the mortgagor ; and

WHEREAS, The County Commissioners of Washington

SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

Treasury of Maryland during the years above mentioned.
