SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

contracts, matters and things as may be necessary or proper

the interests and promote the objects and designs of this cor-

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the powers, rights, privi-

of the Code and of said charter. And in addition to the powers,

 

rights, privileges and franchises possessed by it under its cer-

 

tificate of incorporation, and under said Article 23 of the Code,

 

said corporation shall have and possess the rights, privileges

 

and franchises particularly mentioned in this Act ; and the

 

said certificate of incorporation shall be altered and amended

 

so as to conform to the provisions of this Act.

 

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this corporation is hereby

 

declared to be what is known as a fraternal beneficial order or
