fide owner of real estate in said county worth over and above

all incumbrances the sum of five hundred dollars; eleventh,

that no person not a resident of Allegany County for the period
|

of one year prior to the date of filing said petition or a non-
|

resident of the State of Maryland shall have any interest in the

business for which licenses hereunder is applied for, provided
|

that nothing in paragraphs 9 and n shall apply to owners,
|

lessees or proprietors of hotels, bona-fide conducted as such and
|

who may keep a bar in connection with the running of such
|

hotel. This statement shall be verified by the affidavit of the

applicant or applicants made before a Justice of the Peace
