SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the president and directors

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That the stock of said company

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That said company shall have the

power to lay its tubes and paraphernalia and equipment through

the public streets, avenues, roads, lanes, alleys or highways in
|
 
|
any county, city or town, having first obtained the consent of
|
 
|
said county, city or town's proper municipal authority ; and in
|
 
|
case said company shall require and not be able to agree with
|
 
|
the owner or owners of land, buildings or water rights for the
|
 
|
use of any land or ways required for the purposes aforesaid of
|
 
|
this company, and in case the owner or owners aforesaid shall
|
 
|
be under any disability or absent, the said company will proceed
|
 
|
to condemn and acquire the same in the manner described and
|
 
|
provided in Sections 228 to 25-1, inclusive, of Article 23 of the
|
 
|
Public General Laws, provided, however, that nothing in this
|
 
|
Act shall be construed as contrary to the provisions of Article
|
 
|
4, Code of Public Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore." sub-
|
 
|
title "Charter," as enacted by Chapter 123, Acts of 1898.
|
Restrictions.
|
SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That nothing in this Act shall per-
|
 
|
mit the manufacturing or sale of gas for heat or illuminating'
|
 
|
purposes, or the generation of electric power in Baltimore City
|
 
|
or Baltimore County.
|
 
|
SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
|
 
|
from the date of its passage.
|

Library of the State, the Executive Department, the General
|
 
|
Assembly of Maryland for the year during which the same

|
may be in session.
