SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the said supervisor shall
|

employ five laborers as a regular force, not above the age of

fifty years and not under the age of twenty-one years, nor

shall their force be increased, except under peculiar stress of

circumstances, and then only by and with the consent of the

County Commissioner having control of said supervisor; and

he shall begin work on the first Monday in April and cease
|

work on the fifteenth day of October, unless specially directed
|
 
|
by the County Commissioners to do otherwise.

|
SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That the said supervisor shall

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That the Board of County Com-

missioners shall, during the month in which said supervisors

regular meeting or at special meeting, if the same shall be nec-
|

essary, audit the accounts of the supervisors and pass upon the

same, allowing- in such computation ten, hours of active work to
|

constitute one day, and twenty-six days to constitute one month ;
|
 
|
and each laborer shall be paid at the rate of twenty-six dollars
|
 
|
per month, and each supervisor at the rate of thirty-five dollars
|
 
|
per month ; and said Board of County Commissioners shall
|
 
|
deliver to each supervisor and each laborer, signed by at least
|
 
|
two members of the Board, an order on the collector of taxes
|
 
|
for the sum of money which may be found to be due to each
|

of them as aforesaid, and to each supervisor the amount due

for hire of carts, wagons, horses, material, etc., during the

preceding month, and in attestation of the payment of the

SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That the County Commissioners
