of any race of any kind. The Council shall also have the

 

power to license, regulate or prohibit any place of public

 

amusement or recreation pleasure parks, picnic grounds, club

 

houses, theatrical exhibitions, base-ball grounds, bowl-

 

ing alley, billiard or pool rooms, camp-meeting grounds or

 

public assembly of any kind. The said Mayor and Council

 

shall also have power by ordinance to provide for the punish-

any of the provisions of this section by a fine not to exceed

 

fifty ($50. 00) dollars in any one case, or imprisonment in the

 

county jail of the county in which said offense shall be com-

 

mitted for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days, or both.

 

Nothing in this section shall be construed as giving the said

 

Mayor and Council any authority to license the sale of spir-

 

ituous, malt or otherwise intoxicating liquors or any amuse-

 

ment in that part of said town which lies in either Prince

 

George's or Montgomery counties when the local statutes

 

of said counties prohibit such sale or amusement therein.

CHAPTER 19.

 

AN ACT to prohibit the issuing of licenses to sell spirituous

 

or fermented liquors in the village of Point of Rocks, in

 

Frederick County or within two miles thereof in said county.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

school funds to reimburse Garrett County for an instalment

 

of State school tax withheld from said county in the year
