CHAPTER 141.
|

AN ACT to provide for the dissolution of the Maryland Me-
|
 
|
chanical and Agricultural Association, incorporated by Act
|
 
|
of 1867, Chapter 128, as supplemented by the Act of 1870,
|
 
|
Chapter 89, and as supplemented by the Act of 1886, Chap-
|
 
|
ter 123, and as further supplemented by the Act of 1890,
|
 
|
Chapter 73 ; and further to provide for the sale of the land
|
 
|
and improvements thereon, belonging to the said associa-
|
 
|
tion, and to make division of the proceeds of sale among the
|
 
|
parties entitled thereto.
|
 
|
WHEREAS, The Maryland Mechanical and Agricultural As-
|

sociation was incorporated by Chapter 128 of the Act of 1867

twenty-five thousand dollars was appropriated by the State,

to be expended by them for the purchase of ground for the

use of said association ; provided, nevertheless, that should
|

the association at any time dissolve, the said trustees or their
|
 
|
successors, should convey the land so purchased, together with
|
 
|
all improvements thereon made free of all incumbrances, to
|
 
|
the State of Maryland ; and provided, also, if said association
|
 
|
should hold no exhibitions on said land for three successive
|
 
|
years, the said land should be so as aforesaid conveyed to the
|
 
|
State; and
