of Maryland in approving the plans of said railroad company

 

for crossing said canal; to expressly authorize it to condemn

 

certain parcels of land of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Com-

 

pany lying on the northern and southern sides of said canal,

 

together with the eaeement of the right during construction, to

 

erect and use temporary platforms, bridges and other appli-

 

ances in, upon or over said canal; to provide for transporting

 

waste material from the north side to the south side thereof,

 

and to give the said railroad company other powers proper to

 

accomplish said objects and purposes...........................
