receive from the County Commissioners the sum of eighty-

 

three dollars and thirty-three cents per month, or a propor-

 

tionate part thereof, so long as he shall continue to act at

 

said station house, under the selection of the Governor as here-

 

inbefore set forth, which sum of money shall be paid to him

 

by the Treasurer of Baltimore County on the order of the

 

County Commissioners at the end of each month of his said

 

service, or a proportionable part thereof at the end of any

 

portion of a month at which the service of such justice of the

 

peace at said station house may terminate as hereinbefore pro-

 

vided ; and no justice of the peace selected for said station

 

house shall he permitted to charge any fee except for the use

 

of the county as hereinafter provided, or receive any gratuity

 

for granting any release, or for the performance of any duty

 

required by law.
