the peace, other than a station house justice, shall be entitled

to receive from said County Commissioners more than ten

dollars as fees for his services in criminal cases in any one

month, and that the justice of the peace selected to sit at the
|
 
|
station house in Canton, in the 12th Election District, shall
|
 
|
receive from the County Commissioners the sum of eighty-
|
 
|
three dollars and thirty-three cents per month, or a propor-
|
 
|
tionate part thereof, so long as he shall continue to act at
|
 
|
said station house, under the selection of the Governor as here-
|
 
|
inbefore set forth, which sum of money shall be paid to him
|
 
|
by the Treasurer of Baltimore County on the order of the
|
 
|
County Commissioners at the end of each month of his said
|
 
|
service, or a proportionable part thereof at the end of any
|
 
|
portion of a month at which the service of such justice of the
|
 
|
peace at said station house may terminate as hereinbefore pro-
|
 
|
vided ; and no justice of the peace selected for said station
|
 
|
house shall he permitted to charge any fee except for the use
|
 
|
of the county as hereinafter provided, or receive any gratuity
|
 
|
for granting any release, or for the performance of any duty
|
 
|
required by law.

142H. The aforesaid fees of said constables and justices for
|

said county shall be taxed against and paid by the party
