the free school fund, in accordance with the provisions of the
|
|
 
|
Act of the December Session, 1839, Chapter 33, and substi-
|
|
 
|
tuted for the interest on the surplus revenue, as provided in
|
|
 
|
said Act; provided, that the sum of one hundred and fifty
|
|
 
|
thousand dollars of the receipts from the public school tax
|
|
 
|
shall be distributed to colored schools, after deducting the
|
|
 
|
amount payable to the Colored Normal School, and the balance
|
|
 
|
of said receipts shall be distributed to the white schools, the
|
|
 
|
State Normal School for whites and the State Board of Educa-
|
|
 
|
tion, in proportions to which they are respectively entitled ; for
|
|
 
|
donations to colleges, academies and schools, as set forth in
|
|
 
|
Acts and Resolutions of the General Assembly heretofore
|
|
 
|
passed, forty-four thousand five hundred dollars, or so much
|
|
 
|
thereof as may be necessary ; provided, that none of the ap-
|
|

to any of said institutions excepting to such as shall have made

a full report, as required by Section 17 of Article 77 of the

Code of Public General Laws, and for the instruction of the

ernor, in accordance with the provisions of the Acts of 1868,
|
|
 
|
Chapter 205, as amended by the Acts of 1904, twenty-one thou-
|
|
 
|
sand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary.

CONTINGENT FUNDS.

For the contingent fund placed at the disposal of the Gov-

ernor by Article 3, Section 32, of the Constitution, ten thou-

sand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary; for the

contingent fund of the Treasury Department, for advertising,
|

stationery, blanks, books, expressage, telegrams and other in-
|
|
 
|
cidental expenses, four thousand dollars, or so much thereof

|
 
|
as may be necessary; for the contingent fund of the Comp-

|
 
|
troller's office for printing blank licenses, protests, circulars,
|
|
 
|
warrants, book and other office expenses, four thousand dol-
|
|
 
|
lars, or so much thereof as may be necessary; for the contin-
|
|
 
|
gent fund of the State Tax Commissioner's office, for printing
|
|
 
|
blanks, circulars, stationery, books and postage, fifteen hun-
|
|
 
|
dred dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary; for the
|
|
 
|
contingent fund of the Land Office, six hundred dollars, or so
|
|
 
|
much thereof as may be necessary ; for the contingent fund of
|
|
 
|
the Court of Appeals, sixteen hundred dollars, or so much
|
|
 
|
thereof as may be necessary; for the contingent fund of the
|
|
 
|
Attorney-General, for printing and traveling expenses, clerical
|
|
 
|
services, stationery, postage and other necessary expenses,
|
|
 
|
thirteen hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may be neces-
