salary of the Attorney-General, three thousand dollars; for

commissions to attorneys on claims of the State, placed in

their hands for collection, five thousand dollars, or so much

thereof as may be necessary ; to George R. Gaither, counsel for

the State in the case of the State of Maryland vs. the Northern

Central Railway Company, the sum of six thousand eight hun-

dred and seventy-six dollars and thirty-four cents, being bal-
