1820. place, as Electors of President and Vice President took place, and that the within lists contain all the votes given in this State for President and Vice President of the United States of America. Jas. Forrest, Rbt. W. Bowie, John Stephen, A. McKim, Wm. Gabby, Michl. C. Sprigg, Elias Brown, John Forwood, Wm. R. Stuart, John Boon, Joshua Prideaux. The State of Maryland, Towit: The Governor and Council being in possession of the returns from the several Counties of this State and the City of Baltimore, of the Election lately held for the choice of Electors to choose on the part of this state a President and Vice President of the United States, proceeded, agreeably to Law to enumerate and ascertain the votes given for each person voted for as aforesaid, and it appearing that James Forrest, Robert W. Bowie, John Stephen, Alexander McKim, William Gabby, Michael C. Sprigg, Elias Brown, John Forwood, William R. Stuart, John Boon, Joshua Prideaux, Esquires had the greatest number of votes. Therefore, It is hereby certified and declared that the said James Forrest, Robert W. Bowie, John Stephen, Alexander McKim, William Gabby, Michael C. Sprigg, Elias Brown, John Forwood, William R. Stuart, John Boon, Joshua Prideaux, Esquires are duly elected Electors, on the part of this State to choose a President and Vice President of the United States. Given, in Council, at the City of Annapolis, Seal under the Great Seal of the State of Maryland, this Fourth day of December By the Governor one Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty.
