                                 State of Maryland
                                  Minutes of 1952

        We the undersigned Electors of President and Vice President of
the United States of America, for the respective terms beginning
on the 20th day of January, 1953, duly and legally appointed and
qualified by and for the State of Maryland, as appears by the annexed
certificate made and delivered to us by his Excellency Honorable Theodore
R. McKeldin, the Executive of said State, having met agreeable to the
provisions of law, in the State House at Annapolis in said State
of Maryland, on the first Monday after the second Wednesday in
December 1952, being the 15th day of said month.
        Do hereby certify that after being so assembled and duly
organized, we proceeded to fill the vacancy created by the absence of
Walter S. Ringler, and W. Rae Dempsey, Sr. by appointing in his stead Solomon Small of
Pocomoke City and W. Rae Dempsey Jr. of Balto. and then proceeded to vote by ballot, and balloted first
for President of the United States and then for Vice President
by distinct ballots and that the following are two distinct
lists, one of the votes for President and the other of the votes for
Vice President, so cast as aforesaid.
        List of all persons voted upon for President
        Dwight D. Eisenhower            9 votes
        List of all persons voted upon for Vice President
        Richard M. Nixon                   9 votes
       
        In Testimony whereof we have hereunto subscribed our hand
and seal on this the Third Monday after the Second Wednesday
in December.  In the year of our Lord Nine Hundred and Fifty Two.
