310 1925 Proceedings of Electors of President and Vice President of the United States of America, in and for the State of Maryland. On the second Monday of January being the tenth day thereof in the year Nineteen Hundred and Twenty-Five, the day appointed by the Constitution of Laws of the United States on which the Electors for President and Vice President of the United States of America are directed to assemble and perform the trust reposed in them there appeared at the hour of noon in the Old Senate Chamber in the State House in the City of Annapolis (the time and place designated by Act of Assembly for the meeting of said Electors) the following gentlemen who had been proclaimed by the Executive Authority of the State, to have been duly elected, Electors of President and Vice President of the United States, in and for the State of Maryland, to wit: Harry N. Abercrombie Frederick W. Page Thomas P. Wharton Oscar B. Chenoweth Wilford D. Dill Henry W. L. Fricke James P. Curley Harry E. Baker The said Electors severally qualified by taking the oath prescribed by the Constitution to be taken by all civil officers. On motion of Oscar B. Chenoweth, Harry N. Abercrombie was unanimously chosen President of the College, and upon taking the chair expressed his appreciation of the Compliment paid him by the College. On motion of James P. Curley, James W. Munroe was elected Secretary tot eh College, and on motion of Mr. Dill, Oscar B. Chenoweth was elected Messenger. It was then moved and ordered that a Committee of two be appointed to wait on the Governor and inform him that he College was organized, and to ask if he had our communications to make to it. The Chair appointed James P. Curley and Frederick W. Page who waited on the Governor and received from him a copy of the Governor's Proclamation, viz. |
