282 Vice President of the United States, and that on a count of the ballots it was ascertained that Thomas R. Marshall of the State of Indiana had received eight votes, and that no other person was voted for. We further certify, that there were distinct ballots for President and Vice President. The annexed distinct lists of the said persons with the votes given to the same are hereby returned by us, the Electors of President and Vice President of the United States in and for the State of Maryland in pursuance of the Constitution and Laws of the United States as having the aforesaid number of votes. Done at the City of Annapolis, Maryland, on the second Monday of January, being the Eighth day of said month, in the year nineteen hundred and Seventeen.
