the duty imposed on them, and that they were
informed by the Governor that he would forthwith send
a communication to the College.  Thereupon, the Honorable
Robert P. Graham, Secretary of the State, appeared and presented
the following message:
                            The State of Maryland.
                                        Executive Department.
        I, Phillips Lee Goldsborough, Governor of the State
of Maryland and having control of the Great Seal thereof,
do hereby certify that the following is a full, true and
correct copy of my Proclamation declaring the election
of Electors of President and Vice President of the United
States, from the State of Maryland, together with a
statement of the whole number of votes cast for the
several candidates of the several parties, as ascertained
and certified to be as required by law, by the Board
of State Canvassers of Maryland.
        In Testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand
and have caused to be hereto affixed the Great Seal
of the State of Maryland at Annapolis, Maryland,
this 2nd day of December, in the year one thousand
nine hundred and twelve.

        Governor's Proclamation Declaring The Election
            of Electors of President and Vice President.
                    State of Maryland.        Executive Department.
        I, Phillips Lee Goldsborough, Governor of the State
of Maryland in pursuance of Section 3 of the Act of
Congress, approved February 3, 1887, do hereby certify that
from a certified copy of the Certificate of Determination
of the result of an election for eight electors of President and
Vice President of the United States, held in the State of
Maryland on Tuesday, November 5th 1912, and filed with me,
as required by law, by the Secretary of State, it appears:
