        Which message was read when the President of the College
declared that nominations for President of the United States
were in order:  thereupon James Enos Ray, Jr. nominated
William Jennings Bryan of the State of Nebraska for
President of the United States for the term beginning from
and after the third day of March 1909, in conformity
with the Constitution and Laws:  and Mr. John A. Robinson
nominated William H. Taft of the State of Ohio as President
of the United States for the same term.
        The President of the College thereupon named H. H.
Beidler and John A. Robinson as tellers who received
the ballots which were duly deposited in a ballot box
and on counting the ballots announced that William
Jennings Bryan had received six votes and that William
H. Taft had received two votes the same being the
full Electoral vote for President of the United States
from Maryland.
        The President of the College announced that vote as
aforesaid and on motion of Mr. Beidler the College proceeded
the ballot for Vice President of the United States
for the ensuing term.

        Mr. Brown nominated John W. Kern of the State
of Indiana for the ensuing term; and Mr. Towers
nominated James S. Sherman of the State of New York for
the ensuing term.

        The President of the College named Messrs. Beidler
and Robinson as tellers who received the ballots in a
ballot box which had been delivered to them, and after
receiving the ballots announced that John W. Kern of
the State of Indiana had received six votes and James
S. Sherman of the State of New York had received two
votes for Vice President of the United States.
        Whereupon the President of the College declared
that John W. Kern of the State of Indiana had received
six votes and James S. Sherman of the State of New
York had received two votes, the same together comprising
the whole Electoral vote of the State of Maryland.

        The President of the College then directed the Secretary
to prepare the several forms of Certificates for the signatures of the
